Will tree trimming work for this tree?

I live in Seattle and some information about a eucalyptus tree that is growing in my backyard along the fence line. This eucalyptus is about 10 years old. It is around 50 feet tall and is 14" in diameter at the base. Presently I am worried about how big it is growing and the danger of it damaging the houses nearby in the wind. I called the Seattle city Arborist, and was advised that it probably wouldn't get much larger. But I have my doubts... Questions: * How much bigger will this eucalyptus grow? * Would trimming the branches of this tree be advisable? Do eucalyptus respond well to trimming? I read that trimming a eucalyptus in the winter can kill it. I have linked this flickr photo that shows this tree. Thanks for any information... John
