Great help - thank you! This pretty much confirms that my little eucalyptus will be getting its own garden bed in a corner of my yard away from my house. I will still be able to enjoy it from my dining room window. Thanks a bunch for the answer!
I do need to ask, however, about the 'cutting back hard' that you mention. Is this just topping it as one would do a crepe myrtle? And can I take away lower limbs as they form to keep the trunk nice and clean as it grows? If so, is there a time of year that the cutting back and/or shaping should be done?
