it can get up to 30 or more feet high (though easily and commonly kept much lower by cutting back hard because that treatment retains the silvery juvenile foliage the plant is commonly named after). if you are planting it as a tree try to keep it at least 30' away from your house to avoid potential damage to your house if it blows over in a storm. its roots are especially agressive but plant it so it is away from water and septic leach lines. hope this helps.
