Phil, of course you are right----but i would still contend that "brittle gum" (at least in the states) has a potentially negative conotation for retailers trying to market to consumers who have little of no knowledge of eucs in the first place and may be skittish about buying a plant whose name indicates that it cculd cause future problems.
