Actually I grow 3 E.parvula : 3 lining and twisted trees ,almost every E.parvula I know in France does so .For foresters valuable trees are staight and brancheless at the bottom, but in gardens changeableness in height,shape and color is very useful if not absolutly necessary .After few years if you only grow timber Eucalypts you are going to see only truncs,it is more pleasant to take advantage of some branches and leaves at eye level ! In Kennedy Arboretum ( southern Ireland )you can see plenty of straight Eucalypts, but one of the best Eucalypt, I mean the more useful to decorate the park, is a heavily branched and lining E. pauciflora ;the colored bark is really worth seeing .Pierre
