I live in London, England. I have a eucalyptus which was reduced in height 3 years ago to about 20ft in height, this year we had a very cold winter and about 8 weeks ago the leaves started to turn and now it looks dead. So I will wait 'til next year to see what happens. Quess it will have to come down. London is on clay so I'm a bit concerned about what will happen to the garden & hope it will not affect the house!!
