You are welcome about the photos. Yes, it is a cool and relaxing place, and for sure remnants of a nice manor/farmland of the past, before the land became developed.
Grass grows under Eucalyptus. I have heard that comment about Eucalyptus killing other plants around. I grew up with Eucalyptus trees and I never saw that case.
Any tall shading tree formation will reduce the amount of light available to plants trying to grow underneath trees, but that is natural.
These trees are not in a closed forest formation, plenty of light reaches the grass. The area seen without grass around other Eucalyptus is kept like that because that area is a natural drain for rain water. At the lowest point, there is a drain.
The anti Eucalyptus agenda has a lot of myths. We know better.
