Good day Eucalyptus fans.
I took some photos of the Eucalyptus tree growing in my patio. I want to grow it strong for a season or 2 before planting it at my brother's home.
Looks nice. It was a twig of a tree purchased as seedling through the mail together with 2 Hybrid Poplars.
The Purcahse happened late last summer. The Poplars took the lead and grew about 3 ft until November. Then the poplars went into hybernation, while the Eucalyptus did not lose any time and kept on growing.
Now it is about 7 ft tall, and ready to go taller this spring and summer. The Poplars are just waking up ( one did 3 weeks ago, the second one is a lazy boy, just waking up this past week, 1st week of April.
All the "kids" are in 15 inch pots. Depending on their growth rate ( they have space now, in the 15 inch pots sionce they got here ) I already got 25 inch pots waiting.
I will post pixes this week.
Changing gears, anyone knows were can I get the red flowering Eucalyptus tree as seedlings or /and seeds ? My parents want those Eucalyptus variety for their home. I think it is the Euc Ficipholia.
Cheers.
