I'd have to check up some "charts" for a yes/no on that (I think it is possible, but I talk from memory). Still, it is likely that if it had crossed with E. crenulata, then some intermediate traits would show up. A maybe easy one would be +3 flower buds per cluster, or +3 capsules per fruit (The other species are clearly "triplets").
Amazing what can happen when some different species are planted in the same place eh?
