That sounds logical, the F2 hybrids showings mixed characters. Maybe I didn't get enought small plants to realize that some had the encircling juvenible leaves and others not...
I don't have any close up pictures nor seed capsule but will take shots of that. Here is an old pictures from 2006 of the parent tree (supposed F1)
