good idea about having a few plants spare Gus, i don't intend to let it grow above three meters high, in the spring time i will give it a good prune to encourage it to bush out and a root prune as well because after reading your advice i have also noticed that the roots in my planter are starting to take over a little, because i am finding it harder to push my finger down into the soil because of the root matting and it's only been in the planter about 8 months or so
the tree has started to recover now after putting it back outside, the dried and shriveled up parts at the end of the branches have now got moisture in them and the leaf dropping has just about stopped
