We have chosen E. deglupta as index species for the "tropical eucalypt" cultivation zone in Europe. Classical areas for it in the USA are Hawaii and the mild areas in Florida. It could be attempted in as frost free as possible areas of coastal California, and maybe in coastal southern Texas but it would not be totally happy if it is too dry a microclimate for many months.
