Yes, Gus, I forgot to mention there were flower buds in the one photo. However, I only noticed the flowers after I got home and uploaded the photos, not at the time I took the photo. Had I noticed the flower buds I would have taken a close up photo.
So as for now I will go on the assumption that this particular species is, or appears to be, E. camaldulensis, just based on the photographic information I have at present. I realize your assement may change with more information, such as seed pods, close up of flower detail, etc.
I want to thank you for your in depth responses, with all the informative links, etc.
When I run across more eucs of possible interest I will post back here.
