Can someone give me information on cutting back my eucalyptus? My tree is in Richmond,Virginia. I'm not sure of the specific name, but the bark seems to me to be string bark or ironbark. It is about 30 feet tall and hitting some cablevision lines. Should it be cut in a "V" as I've read, or should the top be cut on a southernly slant as I've also read? The tree has long, spindly branches. Can these be cut back? Or will the tree be damaged? Can I root the top or the branches? It seems that not many people in this area know very much about this type of tree. Many thanks for any help you can give me.
