Gus:
Most winters it seems we have 7b and 8a minimums, but occasionally we will dip below that, however it is for a short duration lasting a few hours and never days. As these Eucs grow larger they seem more resistant to cold on larger, older growth and it is mostly the new growth that takes a little burn which is soon replaced in the Spring. Snow, when we get it is usually short lived too, but doesn't seem to affect the Eucs unless it is wet or very very heavy. I worry more about ice/freezing rain which can break the Eucs and windthrow or lightning for the same reasons. We have very hot and humid summers that last into October most years so any damage is forgotten by the end of the season.
