remember, even if your eucs are killed back by cold they will most likely come back from the base and will become either many stemmed shrubs or trees or can be retrained to a single stem again. so while who knows if they will become permanent trees, there is a good chance that you will have a permanant plant of some sort (some people like the look of the new "juevinile" foliage better than the older stuff anyway). as neither are large trees anyway, if you do get dieback at some point you will not be having to deal with 50' of dead wood like sometimes happens with larger "hardy" species. good luck and thanks for posting.
