Not E. pauciflora ssp. debeuzevillei, but a very close relative with a similar vigorous ability to regrow from coppice. What is different to other species as E. gunnii is growth rates, or regrowth growth rates in this case.
This can give hints about you yet having a chance to cut back your snow gum and expect it to regrow from the stump if a severe topping does not give you the expected results.
Will try to post some photos of severe topping and recovery from heavy pruning in old Eucalyptus specimens. However, it is not in snow gums.
