We have five Eucs in historic Phoenix. We love them, and three of the four are in great shape. However listening to weather casters claim monsoon this year is expected to be pretty fierce and knowing God will do with the wind what he will --- I need some help on deciding whether to lace the tree in the front yard again before July or just have the crew cut it down and stump it out. -Several years ago in order to try and keep it (it's at least 15 years old --- probably more like 17 or older) I had the tree guys who trim it and what Phoenicians call "lace" it go ahead and "crown" it or "top" it for fear of it toppling over on to our roof .. I am feeling like one dumb bunny and I know better now, "Never Top A Euc" --- Can you advise? The tree is very healthy but at least ten feet taller than the roof of our home and the crotch sits over the dormer. Really I love this tree and all the tress on our property, 13 in total, but I am a bit nervous...
Thanks,
P
