I am experimenting with this widespread and variable species this year mainly because I want fast growth and attractive bark in my plants. These seed are from JL Hudson Seed Bank in California and (I presume) of California origin. Any ideas on cold-hardiness, culture requirements, etc.? These are still in the seedling stage so I will protect them during their first winter 2008-2009.
