How many years (on average) would it take to be able to harvest red river gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) for use as veneer? We planted about 20 a couple years ago and they appear to grow fast (now about 25 ft tall and 3(+) inch diameter. My hobby is wood working and I am hoping to use them in a year or two (hopefully before a freeze kills them). Also, if they are killed by freeze, does it destroy the wood quality?
