I planted a 3ft perrininana out 2 years back now at the time of planting it was not staked, however it started to lean slightly and i wanted a nice straight tree. It has grown pretty quickly putting on 15ft in under 2 years, i hacked off the top 6ft in december as i was worried that it was getting too big too quick, it has not spoiled the shape of the tree in any way. My problem is that in high winds back in january it broke loose of its stake and leaned heavily to about 50 degrees from vertical, i have re staked and all is fine now, but my concern is that it will not produce a strong trunk and root system. If i keep it well staked for a couple of years will it be ok?
Thanks
Vic
