Most of this info I got from Native Plants of the Sydney District by Alan Fairley, which I have found to be an excellent book. I also have Eucalypts by Brooker and Kleinig, which is supposed to be the authorative text on eucs, but I was disappointed that it doesn't mention these factors. The only thing it mentions is that ssp gullickii has different juvenile leaves to the other mannifera.
I also note that the two scribbly gums racemosa and sclerophylla are combined in Brooker and Kleinig. Could it be that this well-known text is overrated?
