Gus, I did check some weather data from Stockholm. The warmest January recorded in Stockholm was 1989 and 1796, 3,2 C average for the month. Second place 1873 and 1791, 2,6 C. Perhaps this year will be as mild as 1930. Even if this January was very mild it is not a new record!
It will be interesting to see if there are any leaves on the tree? We have had plenty of winter storms this winter.
For some days ago I saw flowering Winter aconite!
