Hi all, just thought I would drop in. Thanks to Kathy for keeping everyone updated on my condition. Right now I am at home and I am finally off all IVs. My white blood cell count is normal and I haven't had any fevers crop up which means I have an infection. I totally thank God for everything. And I want to thank all of you who have prayed for me.
I am still very weak. I can only do a few things around the house and then I have to go sit or lay down. I am too weak to go shopping or drive a car. I am very dependent on Mark for a lot of my care yet. I can get up and fix myself a bit of food, sit outside on the patio, wash my hair or start a light load of laundry, but beyond that I am too weak. I am also trying to adjust to having this colostomy. My pain level has gone way down. I just have the aches and pains of having had two big surgeries. I am eating better, but still cannot eat a lot. Doctors tell me that it will take months before I am strong again.
I am going to end here as I am quite tired. Again, thanks to all of you who prayed for me, I sincerely appreciate your care for me and my family in our difficult time.
