Here's the latest email..............
Sorry I haven't written more but I get very tried and writing isn't my thing anyway.
So here's the update. She had the emergency surgery on the 6th and the incision from that surgery is healing good. Since the surgery she has had two cyst develop near the skin on her left side. They used a x-ray machine to put a drains in the first one last week while she was awake. A second one developed over the weekend and it had some intestine near it so they decided to do surgery. Yesterday they made a 1 to 2 inch incision drained the cyst and added a new drain for that one. They also removed the two other drains she had on.
Today she is feeling very weak. The surgery was minor, only about 15 minutes, but it took allot out of her. We're hoping this is the last of the cyst.
So here's the surgery count todate. She had a 20 cm incision from the pubic bone to the sternum, a 2 inch incision on the left side, and four drains (2 on the right and 2 on the left). The original surgery on the 2nd had 3 1 to 2 inch incision which are all mostly healed. She also had a PICC line which is a catheter they run into a large vein to just above the heart for feeding and other IV's. The PICC was in her neck from the surgery on the 6th and two days ago they removed it and put a new one into her right arm. The PICC catheter is 35 cm long from the entree point to just above her heart.
Please pray she will gain strength and no more cyst will form.
Yours,
Mark and Becky
