Now Playing: Beautiful Times

Posted by Kristy I'm sorry I've been away for so long but part of that has been because of some problems with the site that I thought I had taken care of and only to find out I didn't when I tried to come back tonight for the first time in almost a month. I don't know but I'm hoping I have the problem fixed now. If not I'll have to try to access the site a different way in the future when I come back. I'm still having some issues with the pubic pain and did finally try to go get my nerve studies done but the tech decided not to do it in the area as requested for fear of more pain but that doesn't bother me that it would hurt more but I didn't tell him that. He would have done it on my back area if I wanted as well as the leg to see if there was any nerve damage there. But now I have to make sure that the letter that he was supposed to send to my neurologist did not get to Pain Management dr because I don't want her to have a copy of that letter just yet. The reason is because I want to make sure she doesn't push again on the recommendation she made before, especially now with his opinion without having done the test that the neurologist asked for on my behalf. I've also had some other issues to contend with my gyn stuff, especially the last two weeks after having my annual done. But that isn't the most difficult part of what has been going on the past month or so. About two months ago mom was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer. Three drs (one of them an oncologist) said she must have a mastectomy but I know that she's really not ready to do this but I know she's going to make a decision one way or the other as to which surgeon (because we got an opinion from two surgeons) will do the procedure after she has a PET Scan done to make sure that this thing hasn't spread to other areas. She will have the test done on Thurs (unless they change things again on her like they have twice). Then we'll go from there. Because of this diagnosis I now have to get mammograms on a fairly regular basis because of being 35 because of my first degree relative. This will be the second mammogram I've ever had but the first one done at 26 was because of a problem I had at that age. Other than that mom and I are doing our best to hang in there. I wish all of you well and will try to be back again soon. Kristy Link: Kristy's Personal Story
