SO it was about 11:20 last night and my boyfriend had just left about 11pm and I was in my apartment. I live in a small town and rarely keep the door locked while I am awake. Last night I heard a slight tap on my door and then my door proceeded to open.. Good thing by the time I heard the tap I was already at the door so when the inebriated man tried to force his way into my apartment he only had a foot his shoulder, torso and head into my apartment. I pushed and pushed while he pushed back and was aable to get him out of my apartment, then I immedialtly locked the door and called the police. While I was waiting for the police to arrive the man started to kick and pound on my door and try to pick my deadbolt. When the police arrived, my neighbor who lives upstairs who thought all the noise was the washing machine off kilter called me and she went into the hallway with me after the police had the suspect on the hood of their car. After about 10 minutes the policeman came back in and told me that the man's blood alcohol limit was three times what it should be and that I was very lucky to have gotten him out of my apartment. My heart finally stopped racing at about 4 am this morning but I am so apprehensive to stay in my new apartment now. What if this guy comes back, I have a years's llease and do not know what to do.. But I can tell you I am scared to stay here by myself now.Do you think that I am being irrational to be really scared to be here. Oh bye the way. I now have a computer with the internet at home so I can get on and chat more often.
