I am in the packing, packing, packing phase The storage unit will be delivered next week and we have rented 2 moving guys on Wed, to load the furniture that Terry can't do alone and I can't help with. We can load the small things and packed boxes ourselves, after they load the big stuff. A lot of our furniture will move to the basement walk-out, which will be 'home' for the duration of the remodel. I am SO glad we have a walk-out, so that we don't feel too confined. The contractor was out over a week ago and already installed the new windows in the walk-out. We were so happy he got the chance to do that prior to us living in that area and that we will have nice new windows to enjoy while we are living in the basement, as well! They look very nice. They still need to be stained on the inside, however. I couldn't believe how our kitty, Jazzy, was so indifferent to the racket while they did that!! I NEVER expected that. I hope it goes as smoothly for the rest of the remodel, but I think there will be some anxious times ahead for her, with our new living arrangements and the amount of work going on. She already is looking puzzled with all the boxes stacking up and furniture moving we've done. The contractor will be tearing off the exterior wall of our living room and tying into the rafters above our head in the basement, so that ought to be 'scary' for her (and us, haha). I think putting in a new sub floor and then hard wood floors and sanding those ought to be another scary time for her. I am thinking about getting the phermone spray to use in the basement to see if it will help her deal with the stress. I have to take her in for her rabies shot this week, so may pick that up. It's pricey, so if we don't need it, I'd rather not, but it is supposed to be best if you start using it prior to the stressful situation. We will move my computer desk and computer to the basement next week and hook it up when possible, so barring no problems with that, I shouldn't be offline too long. Hi Friends, 
Things are starting to look a bit bare around me - which is a good thing.....but still a lot left to do. Terry has been working most every day, as usual, being a forester and in 'fire season.' Fortunately, we got rain one day and he finally had a day off on Sat. and it was nice to have his help with the things I couldn't do. He also was able to take yesterday off, since he HAS to reduce his vacation time, or lose it, before July 1 and it was a damp day yesterday. We got a lot more done yesterday also, with the 2 of us.
