Now Playing: Beautiful Times

Posted by Kristy I had my appt with the second neurologist, the one at the University and it went well. She said I do indeed have something wrong with me. I have something called chronic pain syndrome. My endo and my vulvodynia are playing parts in this but my spine and even my brain may be playing in to this. Whether or not we will find the cause from that point is unknown. But she is going to find out for me if the EMG can be done of the nerves to my vulvar area to see what is going on. Also, in relation to the nerve blocks there's a situation that can occur where instead of being deadened or numbened the nerve is instead saying, "I'm still here hurting". Because I also have some issues neurologically from childhood we are going to do another EMG as it has been a good while and she wants to see me again in a month. My gyn will get the letter and she's going to make sure that my Pain Management dr gets one as well. Yep, I've decided to go ahead and give this dr one more chance and if she still insists on seeing a psychiatrist then I'm going to have to start finding another one depending on the way the conversation with the Pain Management dr goes if she mentions psychiatry again. So I'm very happy with the results of this visit. Kristy
