Hi everyone....
I am relaying a message from Amy, a friend of Jess's.... Her surgery went well, lasted about 1 1/2 hours. They removed all of the large intestine, and half of the rectum. No endo was to be found, anywhere. She has a partial ostomy, which will last for about 6 mths...after that they will try to get the bowels working again. If that doesn't work, then chances are she'll have a permanent ostomy. She is still very weak, and in alot of pain. They have given her methadone for pain, had to be taken off of adavan (believe thats what it was) because of an allergic reaction. She no longer has the foley in place, and has been up walking when she can. She will be in until her pain is under control, and she has her first BM. Keep her in your prayers...
