Now Playing: Beautiful Times

Posted by Kristy It's time for another update. It's been 3 1/2 months since I've had my laparoscopy and I'm still dealing with some post-op tenderness. Last time it took me 6 months to fully recover from my lap and that was in 2003. So I suspect the same thing might happen now and that's ok. Kathy, you had asked me what I had surgery for and it was to check the status of my endometriosis. After surgery I did 3 shots of Zoladex and after I got my 3rd shot last month I noticed that my vulvar area was starting to improve. I don't know if there is endo around that area but I wouldn't be very surprised especially with the way that the Zoladex seems to be helping. So I talked to my dr on Wed about the issue of the birth control pill as to which one she and I thought I should go on and also ask her when to start it. Well, I told her what was happening with my vulvar area and she explained to me about how the company that makes Zoladex had been promoting two shots to treat endo and so she had decided that for me it would be 3 (knowing better than that that 3 wouldn't be enough if it was doing anything for me which it is) so I am going to be doing the next 3 shots. I got a call from the pharmacy that provides the medicine asking me to give my permission to refill the medication even though the script was there. They will send it to the office on the 19th. I will schedule the 3rd shot for the 26th (as I have a dr's appt that day already, I will just schedule the shot for earlier that a.m.) and I will keep you all posted on how it goes with the next 3 to see if my vulva still does good b/c I'm hoping it helps the bottom part of the area the way it has helped with the top part since the surgery. Other than that I'm hanging in there and still trying to find work. I've already signed on with one temp agency and am going to sign on with yet aother to see if they can help me find a job. I hope everyone has a good week. Kristy Link: Kristy's Personal Story
