Posted by Jacqui P How is everyone? I hope you are all doing aswell as can be? I am sorry I have not been online for a while, life has been really hectic recently! I have had alot of work going on with uni, both practical and theory work. My practical is going really well, I am on placement at a childrens ward and I am absolutely loving it, when I am there I know that nursing for me is the right career for me, I enjoy it so much and find it so rewarding. Once this week is over I can start to relax a little. I still have my portfolio to finish for this placement but have got until later in september to get that finished. I am going away on holiday a week on thursday too so that is keeping me going although I feel I cannot really get excited about the holiday until this exam is over and done with on thursday! I am going away to Lanzarote (canary islands) for a week with my friend Mark. I cant wait for the holiday and to relax, sunbathe and have some fun. It should be a good week My parents celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary yesterday! Lots of other things have been going on but I will sign off now as I need to get back to revising. Hi All,
The theory work is completely stressing me out! I have an exam on thursday and I am sooooo scared and stressed about it. I am not sleeping well and am constantly feeling sick and my stomach is in knots because of it. I woke up this morning and ended up getting in a real panic about it. I have been revising and feel like I am retaining some of the info. I know I can only do my best and that stressing will not help but I am a worrier and I hate exams with a passion!!!
I have started bleeding too which I have a feeling is possibly down to me being so stressed. I am not impressed at all, as bleeding and pain is the last thing I need at the moment!
Last Saturday we had a big party at their house (100 people came) and we all had a really fantastic and very special day. Mum & Dad had a great day too! They had a mass first where they renewed there vows and our family & friends, myself included crying as they renewed their vows to each other. I would have been ok but they got emotional why saying them to each other which set me off...lol!
I am so proud of them and love them to bits!
