We'll I ended up having my CT Scan a day early because for the last week and a half I have been in sereve constant chronic pain that doubles me over. They thought that maybe my infarction had abcessed. We found out that it had not and that moreover it had not changed really at all. So I met with my colo-rectal yesterday and he gave me two options. Deal with the pain as long as I can and then when I can't deal with it have the surgery. This surgery is going to be drastic since lots of vital organs are attached to the infarction. He said that I would probably end up with a permanent Ostomy as well as end up with a partial or full hysterectomy. He cannot gurantee what the outcome will be. So I have a question for you all.. My colo-rectal comes back on the 12th of OCt. Would you try to deal with the chronic pain until then or just have the surgery now and get it over with.. What gets me is that he does not what I will loose until he gets in there and sees just how attached everything si to this infarction, and he cannot guarantee me that this will stop my pain or that it will not happen again since we do not really know what caused it in the first place. So he is meeting with me every week and will do so until I tell him I have had enough. I am trying now to get the gyn aspect taken care of so I know who and what their qualifications are going into this surgery. Any advice would be welcomed.. I have been very emotional to say the least the last couple of days.. But my boyfriend has been wonderful with trying to comfort me.
