Posted by Ryan The Eliminators stinkin ROCKED! It can be tough being a tribute band to a style that is not so active today, but my original thoughts were that the Eliminators were very professional. They were tight and the music obviously had a lot of energy. As an opening act, they were super solid and the lead guitarist was a great player. My only negative feedback is that I felt like the band could have interacted with the audience a little more - a little more visual energy would have been an additional bonus to a solid, fun set. A co-worker and I were down in OC on business. Before leaving our office in San Luis Obispo, we did a quick internet check to see if anything was going on in OC that night. We stumbled upon the Midnight Oil show and the fact that we were both youth in the 80's, we were all over that show. We had no idea that there were was an opening act. So, when the curtain opened and there all these guys wearing 50's style surf jackets, our immediate response was, "What the...?" Then the music started...
