Hello Joseph, The prologue was inadvertently left out of the OEB edition, it was not deliberate. It has been reinstated in the second printing of the book. I personally think the prologue is wonderful. The hard cover of Jerusalem Poker has a reputation of being badly bound. My copy came apart but a friend got it rebound.
