i am moving to northern virginia and would like to correspond with others who have EDS. i just learned last may that is what my problem is, so i am still new to learning to cope with my EDS. i had a large ligament separate from my heel almost 2 years ago. felt like a bolt of lightning hit my heel. no accident or trip and fall at all. there were multiple misdiagnoses and misreadings of an mri by the doctors. finally, my rheumatologist got busy after i asked for a referral into mayo clinics. he put the symptoms together and figured it out. i now have ankle and leg braces to support and protect me from further injury/separations. i'd like to get to know others in the dc/va area with EDS so we can support each other. i also want to learn about any learning opportunities in the area about this problem. it IS a difficult thing to get others to have empathy with. some days i am fine; others i am in terrible pain.
