Hello. My name is Joan. I'm a 41 year old with classic EDS (Type II). I've known since I was two years old that I had EDS. I'm currently in an immobilizer due to a work fall. I tripped on a loose computer wire and fell. I ended up with a 10cm laceration across my left knee. It has been a humbling experience to be so debilitated by such an "ordinary" type of injury. I'd love to meet some other individuals with EDS who live near the Cincinnati, OH/Northern Kentucky area for support and friendship. I've never actually met anyone else with EDS in all of my 41 years. It would be nice to talk to someone who understands what this genetic disorder is like. So, if you live anywhere nearby, please shout out. I'd love to converse or meet with you.
