Fixing bugs in the C++ version as well as in the C version is a waste of time if the solution is not trivial. Ok, for now, Legacy might be behind what you expected it to be (yes, in two years we haven't progressed a lot on the current stable release), but once the C++ version will become stable (and even beta), you'll see a big improvement, probably higher than if we had continued to work on the C++ for two years. Our goal is none less than having a much better ZDoom compatibility while having lots of graphics improvement seen in JDoom and still keeping Legacy's own improvement like 3D-floors, ease of use and multi-platform compatibility.
We can understand your point of view, but you really doesn't have a good one of our. The goal of translating Doom Legacy to C++ was (and still is) to reorganize the source code so adding new features will be easier (I mean, with less bugs due to old bad code), as well as fixing bugs in a easier way. All that so we can have a better quality version in the future. But of course, it takes time, especially as we cannot give lots of our time (remember we have a real live as well, it's not our full-time job).
Also, lots of requested features have been added in the C++ version while developping it, so you can't say we do not consider that poll. But we have only added major features for now, those who can have a big impact on the source code structure.
