Over the years it has come to my attention that the DOOM Legacy team has lost grasp of the quality as their engine has become far more degraded then prevous times. The netcode is way behind the times. many features and bugs are far then fixed, and the attitude of the Legacy authors concerning fixing these problems is little if any concern to them, blowing them off as if they were nothing but mere nit picking having never taken the time to fix any of these problems (which could have been taken care of quickly when they were first spoted), Rather they jumped over fixing problems and went right into adding new features only causing more problems. Their excuse? They would translate Legacy into C++ to fix these problems. As said before, they could have fixed these problems when they were first notified about, but as also mentioned, they over looked these notifications to add more features. features that could have been waited on untill they fixed the bugs even updated the netcode. Alas it was not so. For they didn't care what problems they caused, they were only interested in the features they wanted to add. I find it also interesting that several people made a poll of what features they wanted to add and submited it to the Legacy team. This like the bug problems and net code were ignored. It seems as if the Legacy team really do not care about how well Legacy works, they want it to look good, but really, will Legacy finally pick up the slack that they have built up?
