
Posted by Boingo on July 22, 2004, 5:16 pm It appears that when opaque sprite are rendered against 3D water, the sprites are antialiased to whatever is behind or below the water, rather than to the water itself. In the case of the water splash, this gave the appearance of a dark outline around the splash. I am currently still using version 1.41, so it may be possible that this error has already been fixed with the new C++ renderer.
Yesterday I changed the Legacy splash over to the Heretic splash in order to make it opaque (The transparent splash is virtually invisible, and therefore useless.), and noticed a peculiar error.
