I have one of the pups from the recent Rumor/Kevlar litter. Lexi has been really great so far, but one thing I can't seem to get her to overcome is her peeing when my husband gets home from work. She just gets so excited and leaves lake Erie in the doorway. He has tried ignoring her until she settles down, but even then as soon as he pats her head, she leaves a puddle. Knowing that he's coming home, I'll be sure to take her outside beforehand so she can empty her bladder, but she still seems to keep a reserve just for him. We've resorted to meeting him outside when he gets home and get her to calm down and sit still before he'll come over.
She does not act this way toward the kids when they're gone all day. I work from home, so I'm always here so I haven't seen a similar reaction. It seems to just be my husband and only when he's been gone all day at work. Will she grow out of this eventually?
