What, ultimately will the dog be doing for you? If the dog needs to have "civil disobedience", meaning, that it must ignore your commands when you are unwell, a pup is a hard thing to start with. It's better to have a dog that is already "happy in it's skin" so that it will happily refuse what you are asking, at the appropriate time. We need to discuss this further. Let me know what the tasks are, and how you would be training for it.
