Refusing to eat
Posted by Bruce and Lisa on 8/13/2016, 6:49 pm
Hi Cheryl, our dog Shadow (11 months old)has been refusing to eat his kibble for the past couple of weeks now. (Tast of the wild). We always moisten with water and have not changed brand, formula, or process of feeding. He gets 2 cups kibble in morning and 1 cup at nite with either 1 chicken thigh and Hamburg or 2 chicken thighs. My better judgement is telling me he just wants the "good stuff" and is testing me. So needless to say there are nights he goes without and the next morning it's kind of the same thing. Although he will eventually go back and Finnish within time, up to an Hr or so. We don't want to allow the free feeding. We also don't want to malnuttish him as he is still a pup. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Ps. When he eats the "good stuff", it's like there is no tomorrow.
