I just want to confirm something about the Face Attack for French Ring. Based on what I've found on line, it looks as though the handler can choose to either call the dog directly to heel or they can have the dog guard then go to heel. Is this correct? I know that if the dog fails the guard it's a 5 pt deduction so can you actually just choose to skip the guard and not take the chance at losing the 5 pts? As you know, Blade has a big challenge ahead of him on the bite exercises so we need all the help we can get. If he has to guard it's just one more thing we have to teach him while we're still trying to get his bite where it needs to be.
