Hi all!
After a serious conversation on the phone with a very old dog trainer, (yes, there are folks out there older than me!) I am starting to believe that a lot of the younger folks getting involved in "dog training" are actually more interested in "drive manipulation"... or, the dog that they want to take for training is already complete with the drives necessary for the work, and they don't care to know how to build the necessary drives if they don't manifest immediately. I would be BORED silly if all the dogs I worked with were already "balls to the wall" so to speak. I enjoy fixing things, and getting dogs to do things that may not necessarily be the easiest for them to do... what do you think?
