Anyone have suggestions on “helping” a 7 month old malinois be aware of MY body. He’s such a cow. If I’m sitting on the couch, he’ll launch from a few feet away and land with all four feet on my gut. I was laying on the floor last week-end, he stomped on my head and the pad of his foot put a “burn” on my cheek.
If I’m laying in bed, he will again launch, and land on my stomach or my head.
He has been thrown from the bed, has been stiff-armed mid air on his way to landing on my gut. I’ve considered asking club members to lay on the ground for me (at least those that would be able to get back up)
and we would practice stepping over them. I don’t know if that would work or not.
Any and all suggestions are welcome. I suppose we could confine him to the crate or pen FOREVER, but that’s not how we operate…..our dogs live with us. I’ve never had such a moose! HELP!
