Based on a quick description, (since I can't view the video...) I'm assuming the dog was working in the blind, and the decoy, Alex, tried a stick correction and drew the dog?
Stick corrections are great, when done by a great decoy/helper. The dog should not know where the touch came from, the work should be very correct so the dog knows WHY he got a correction, and the dog needs to be ready to accept such a correction... if the dog hasn't already been taught to work under the stick, he/she should not be corrected with it..
It's always possible for a super reactive dog to nail any helper, but it's up to the helper to decide where and when that form of correction is best used... Alex has a great history of bull/mollossor work, so may have underestimated this dog, or like Nick said, we don't know the history of the training.
