UKC Dog Sports Judge
Hi all! One of the things that keeps coming up in conversations with the U.K.C. is lack of growth in our sport. I'm sure that they were told that there would be a lot of clubs, trials, etc, but when Jack doesn't follow through with contacts, it tends to make the interested parties get a bit irritated. I'm at fault, too... I've been waiting until Jack moved on, and never thought that the UKC would make the decision to eliminate the sport, just the leadership.... Now, we have to show them that there are groups (besides Capital City) that are going to form clubs, and put on trials. Paul C, if you can start the process of asking for a trial, that would be great, as well as your contact folks in New York. I am still writing, talking and e-mailing as much as I can. Kathy Walden, who lives in Kalamazoo, reports that Michelle Morgan mentioned they only got four contacts regarding this... there should be a lot more arriving soon!
