I mustsa missed something as I think I was the one doing the ring work. What was one YouTube? What was said?
Curious.
However the answer to this questions is very complex with multiple "layers." My generation (I am 23) is much more open to research on the internet, as it was forced down us our whole lives. I would say a greater emphasis was put on the internet because it was relatively new, and teachers wanted to use it and explore it. We were not limited to the 50 books at our library
We are also much more open to new ideas and methods, as again we have been hammered to think outside the box and have been given the world, through the internet.
I think our generation is also a much more "prove it" with hard facts IE video, rather than yes I have done that and was awesome.
However, is a video more worthy than experience? Depends on who you ask. In my opinion no. But the video we can see and learn from.
We can also learn from the persons experience, however it has to be shared with us. The internet never sleeps and is always flooded with info, some good some bad. People with experience only have so much energy to share it!
I for one like the experience. As different methods need to be used with different dogs, experience teaches you that. The video will work for some dogs, but not all....But who's to say the person in the video doesn't have the same experience or more????? Thats where more internet research needs to be done!!!![]()
