Does having a video on YouTube automatically "rank higher" than actual experience to some?
Most definitely but "to some" being the key words. As Kathy mentioned there is a lot of people now who are very visual "learners" that will put more merit into what they see over what they don't.
I can honestly say I do find entertainment in looking up videos but I do not by any means think of it as a source of information. The only thing I really rely on it for learning is what other people have done with their dogs, showing what kind of stock is located where, etc. While there might be some good information on there, I don't merit YouTube videos as any sort of replacement for hands-on learning experience. Hence the reason we're at club about every weekend.
